Once I'd discovered piezo-electric crystals, and how they can be used as pickups, I thought I'd try and electrify an acoustic guitar.
I bought this guitar at a car boot sale for only a few quid, drilled a hole in the body, soldered a piezo to a jack socket, and glued the piezo under the bridge.
The result is shown here. It was very easy to do, and the result was successful.
You have to remember though, that piezo crystals don't make the best pickups, so don't try this with a decent guitar!
